Wish you a very happy new year.
We are glad to inform you that the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT H is organizing a two day winter-school (January 14-15, 2015) on “Recent Advances in Structural Engineering and Materials-RAISE 2015” at IIT Hyderabad by leading experts in this area sponsored through TEQIP. This winter-school will focus on various themes including (i) Advances in Sustainable Infrastructure Materials (Materials with Low Carbon Footprint, high performance materials with low quantum consumption, and recycled materials) (ii) Advances in Performance Monitoring and Prediction (Structural Health Monitoring of civil infrastructure, Performance Prediction) and (iii) Advances in Strengthening Technologies (performance enhancement through innovative materials and strengthening techniques)
The expected participants for this winter school would be
• Experts from institutes of national importance like the IITs, IISc and eminent faculty from Canadian universities
• Faculty members from various engineering colleges.
• Industry experts
The
topic of the winter-school being very relevant to academicians, designers and practitioners,
we would like to encourage the widest level of participation. The number of participants we can
accommodate is limited and seats are being booked on a purely first-come
first-serve basis. Hence, we strongly recommend that you reserve a seat for
yourself immediately by email and confirm your participation by sending in the
registration form. Spot-registration will be allowed on exceptional cases. The registration fee is waived for the
TEQIP sponsored institution affiliated to IIT Hyderabad. However, the travel expenses to and from Hyderabad
shall be borne by your college through TEQIP funds. For more information,
