National workshop on 20th – 21st August 2009, GOA – Invitation
Society of Energy Engineers and Managers (SEEM) is the national professional association of Certified Energy Auditors & Managers (Certified by Bureau of Energy Efficiency - BEE, Government of India). As part of capacity building & awareness campaign efforts, SEEM in association with the Institution of Engineers, Goa State Centre is organizing a 16-State National Workshop Series on “Energy Efficiency, Codes & Ratings in Buildings”. Brochure is attached. The topic has been selected, taking note of the importance given in energy efficiency in buildings, by the BEE, through its promulgation of Energy Conservation Building Codes and the efforts of Ministry of New & Renewable Energy in promoting the Energy Ratings in Buildings.
The two-day workshop at Goa is being held in association with the Institution of Engineers, Goa State Centre and supported by the Goa Energy Development Agency (GEDA). The workshop will be held at ‘Roof Top’ Conference Hall, Hotel Delmon, Panjim on 20th-21st August 2009. GEDA has offered a scholarship to each participant, which makes the REGISTRATION FEE only Rs 3000/- per head. Additionally as a special incentive, all IEI GSC members registering for this event through the IEI offices will receive an additional 25% discount on the registration fees which makes the revised fee Rs. 2250/- for the 2 day workshop
The highlights of the workshop are the technical sessions handled by experts on Energy Conservation Building Codes (ECBC), Efficient design Energy efficient construction materials, HVAC design and selection, Appliances ratings and selection, Lighting and Utilities. Since building design and construction in India will be bound by ECBC in future, attending this workshop will be highly beneficial to architects, developers and engineers.
As an outcome of this workshop, we would constitute a “State level resource Committee for Energy conservation & Renewable energy in Buildings” which would act as the resource pool for advice in this field, particularly in suggesting amendments in the ECBC Codes, as per the EC Act 2001.
The Registration form is also attached. We request you to attend this workshop in large numbers and take advantage of the unique incentive scheme employed. For registration and other details, please contact the IEI GSC office on 2463746 or iei...@sify.com
