Conference on "Construction Materials for Infrastructure Sectors"

Dear Ms. Kamat,

Kindly refer our telecon.

I am pleased to inform you that Indian Infrastructure magazine is organising a conference on “Construction Materials for Infrastructure Sectors: Trends & Outlook: Demand, Supply & Prices” on October 21, 2009 at The Imperial, New Delhi.

The mission of this conference is to provide an update on the trends and outlook on demand, supply and prices for construction materials consumed by the infrastructure sectors. The conference will examine demand growth for these materials in key infrastructure sectors. It will also examine the supply capacity development for key materials like cement and steel. It will discuss key issues and concerns on both sides. The conference will seek to answer the following questions:

- What are the key trends in infrastructure development?
- What are the key trends in the construction materials industry (steel/cement/others)?
- What has been the impact of the recent economic slowdown and financial crisis?
- What is the future outlook (short, medium and long term)?
- What is the demand outlook from key infrastructure segments (highways, ports, airports, urban development, power, railways, etc.)?
- What is the supply outlook for key construction materials?
- How are the prices of cement and steel expected to move going forward?
- What are the key issues and concerns?
- What are the key trends in the construction equipment industry (demand/prices)?

The one day conference will have at least five sessions: Impact of Slowdown and Future Outlook, Demand Outlook from Key Infrastructure Sectors, Focus on Steel, Focus on Cement and Trends and Outlook for Construction Equipment.

The conference is targeted at cement manufacturers, steel producers, other material manufacturers, construction contractors, construction equipment providers, road developers, hydro power producers, port operators, airport operators, railway-related organisations, oil and gas transportation, urban infrastructure developers, other infrastructure players, infrastructure development agencies, financial institutions, consultancy organisations, etc.

The delegate fee is Rs. 16,000 for one, Rs. 28,000 for two, Rs. 40,000 for three and Rs. 52,000 for four. There is a 20 per cent "early bird discount" for those registering before October 9, 2009.

We hope you will consider attending or deputing officials for this important event.

Please find attached the brochure for the conference.
