North and South meaning

What's the meaning of North and South in hexagram 2.

I don't really know, but hexagram 2  is all yin lines and yin is cold . The first line describes when people see hoarfrost on the ground they know that winter is coming , which definitely happened here in detroit today and its freezing and possibly not going away like it has the last couple months.

This is not about cold or warm but about signes warning about something's gonna happen.

I asked about North and South because of the Judgment suggesting to choose friends from South and leave those from North.

Depends on the question you asked.

It as to do with the distribution of trigrams when they are spread in a circle. There are two ways of doing it, so you will have to look in the middle of the book. This appears in other hexagrams. NOrth meaning time to think and South meaning time for action.

I don´t know if this is the case in this hexagram.

I´m away for a while so don´t have the books with me.

I asked about the meaning of a dream that showed me my niece makeup looking like that of a dead person. I was afraid she will die soon.

Hexagram 2 is called the receptive meaning you received your dream like a prophecy. In this case North and South may point to the corresponding cardinal points.

It makes sense because my niece and her parents are located in the north part of my city.

It makes sense as I was told my niece's parents helped me by sending me some money. (See my other reponse)
In fact was my husband who borrowed the money. So I have to leave friends from north and choose those from south (my husband). I'm actually located in the south part of the city.
