National Chemical Engineering Symposium (NACES) is an annual program held and participated by the students of the Chemical Engineering Faculties in both public and private institutions of Malaysia.
This year, NACES 2010 will be organized and hosted by UiTM’s ChESS with Green Technology as the theme.
GREEN TECHNOLOGY
‘Green Technology’ is the development and application of products, equipment, and systems, which conserve natural environment and resources thereby minimizing and reducing the negative impact of human activities.
“The national goals of the Green Technology Policy is to provide direction and motivation for Malaysians to continuously enjoy good quality living and a healthy environment.”
With a variety of activities such as ‘Plant Design Competition’, ‘PowerPoint Presentation’, 'Video Presentation' and ‘Essay Writing Competition’, this program will be, among others, a door to an early exposure to the world of engineering for the students, where they can voice out their opinions, ideas and also create a healthy competition among themselves.
The main objective of this program is to expose ‘future engineers’ to current and forthcoming chemical engineering issues and challenges.
Students will have the opportunity to interact with students from all participating institutions and it is a great opportunity for students to learn more and challenge themselves outside their comfort zone, which is a pre-requisite for success as professional chemical engineers.
NACES 2010 is a great opportunity for students to showcase their talents in the arenas of debating and technical presentation.
