Earlier this year I published a W3C WebCrypto-derivate that could be used to resurrect the Information Card concept.
However, it was [rightfully] slashed by Google as being too difficult to fit inside a browser and for not properly aligning with the "web model".
I have subsequently revised the scheme, so that it should be fairly straightforward integrating in a browser. The concept is now also fully aligned with the web through adherence to SOP (Same Origin Policy), albeit trough emulation:

The primary advantage of using WebCrypto instead of a "Fat Client" is that there are several quite different Information Card scenarios that doesn't fit well in a single package. There is also a branding issue.
I.e. each community can now define their own take on the Information Card concept _without_any_user_installation_.
The concept depends on a considerably updated credentialing platform. Is this a problem? Not at all :-)
