My proposed changes to the charter are attached, written as a delta from version 1.1 on wiki.idcommons.net. The most significant changes from v1.1 are:
1. Add language to focus the initial work on the development of a set of components that enable the testing and end to end deployment of a few target scenarios
2. Describe very specific initial target scenario characteristics; in particular claims providers would be from the public sector (government, health, education); specific scenarios or use cases are up for discussion, but commercial sources of claims and claims marketplaces, while they should be directly supported by the developed components, are left out of the initial scope.
3. Refine the notion of the verified claims agent to ensure any downloaded components directly support and extend the base scenario of a “cloud hosted” agent.
4. Add a goal that all of the components developed are, from the get go, interoperable with each other – including both commercial and open source components.

Thanks everyone for a great discussion. I updated the charter based on our conversation today and uploaded it to the site. The attached file shows the delta between what I sent out and the current v1.4 on the site. Note that a couple of Paul’s changes show up here too (from yesterday).
Let the comments fly!
During the discussion today we agreed on three follow up discussions:
1. License for both specs and code
2. SSO / dynamic pseudonym use cases
3. Self-dealing rules
I’ll work with Mary on getting those set up.
