There are three loose ends related to the charter [1]:
  1. License for both specs and code
  2. SSO / dynamic pseudonym use cases
  3. Self-dealing rules

On Thursday Jan 20th we discussed #1 above. We decided that the best plan would be:
  • We will dual-license all code Apache 2.0 and EPL 1.0
  • Mary and Paul will immediately discuss with the Eclipse Foundation our need to dual license and whether if Microsoft could join at a $20k level that dual licensing would be allowed for a project that would start off life as a sub-project of Higgins but would apply to become a standalone (not under Higgins) project over time
  • If the above doesn't work out then we'll explore using the Outercurve Foundation or Apache Foundation or we'll just start off using a simple (non-Google) code hosting solution such as SourceForge or GitHub.com
  • Craig will explore within Microsoft to see if there is some Apache experience
  • Mary will auto-add folks cc-edto this email to the claims-agent mailing list

Mailing list

It was agreed that all further communications would be using this list. If you haven't joined, do so now:

[The astute reader will notice that I have ignored this decision taken the liberty to spam the icf-community list one last time, because I wasn't quite sure that everyone has yet joined the list]

Next Meetings

Please note that the day changed from Thursday to Friday:
  • Friday Jan 28th at 1pm ET / 10am PT [3]
  • Friday Feb 4rd at 1pm ET / 10am PT [4]

Paul.
