There are a couple of events of interest to the ICF community in the next
two weeks:
* Friday, January 7, at Stanford, there is an NSTIC event where
secretary Gary Locke, U.S. Department of Commerce, and Howard A. Schmidt,
Special Assistant to the President and Cybersecurity Coordinator at The
White House will speak. http://www.techamerica.org/nstic (Kaliya Hamlin
plans to attend.)
* Wednesday, January 19, Hilton Garden Hotel, DC, there is a
retirement celebration for Judy Spencer, the Agency Expert for Identity
Management in the Office of Governmentwide Policy at the U.S. General
Services Administration. In her role as co-chair of the Identity,
Credential, and Access Management Subcommittee (ICAMSC) of the Federal CIO
Council, Judy has been a major champion user-centric identity. Registration
