Is it possible to use ICESL to generate an open cell foam like detailed in examples at the end of the linked paper below? (co-authored by one of the developers of icesl)

I've tried using the polyfoam and voro2d options but they quite clearly generates a closed cell foams.

I want to try making objects in a similar fashion to those in the images extracted from the paper below.

Hello,
I am interested in this or honey-comb style air-filtering patterns for generating a vented vacuum-forming platform to place molding matrix inserts on top.
Best,
Jonathan-David

that is a progressively varying infill, but it doesn't generate an open 3d lattice like in the pictures I included.

I'd say yes - if you're able to write a customer shader that produces the necessary data. (Details here: https://github.com/shapeforge/icesl-infillers ) I'd bet the developers to have already a shader that can do this, however not public.
