History of Icecream

I'm going to give a presentation in August on using Icecream with Yocto
(https://www.yoctoproject.org/) and I would like to include a brief
slide about the history of Icecream. I know it split (forked?) from
distcc, but I'm not clear on what year that was. Does anyone happen to know?
