Hello,

does it make sense to cross-compile with icecc, when the tarball for the ICECC_VERSION is supposed to be a big one (200-300MB) ?

Does it distribute it each time?

How could I just point to a directory on the remote machine, where the platform environment is expected to be?

BR,

The tarball is cached on the remote machine so you only pay for the transfer once.

It isn't possible to distribute the tarball by other means. Most icecream users are not administrators of all the remote machines on their network so nobody has designed this. Even if you are administrator on all machines it is an additional level of complexity at best. At worst you upgrade your compiler and forget to upgrade your tarball and end up with a broken build in some way.

Only one distribution is what I would have expected to. Thank you.

(Maybe you should add it to the documentation ?)
