March 6: Co-operative Discussion Meeting/Forum

As you may know, the United Nations has recognized 2012 as "the
International Year of Cooperatives". A few weeks ago, the Ann Arbor
City Council recognized this, and pledged to be proactive in
supporting the co-operative movement in the city.
Attached is the flyer that the Co-op Solidarity Team (CST) of the
Inter-Cooperative Council (ICC, a.k.a. "the student co-ops"), Ann
Arbor, has put together for a brainstorming/discussion event to be
held on Tue March 6 at 7 pm at the ICC Education Center (the barn-like
houe behind Luther House Co-op on Hill Street).
Representatives from several co-ops in the area (such as the Ann Arbor
People's Food Co-op) will be taking part, and the public is also
invited.
At the event, we will discuss and brainstorm about how to build a
strong co-operative movement in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti.
How you can help:
(1) You can come to this meeting and offer your valuable input and
suggestions, and listen to and interact with leaders of cooperatives
from around the area and region.
(2) You can download and print out copies of the attached flyer, and
put it up around town, at or near your workplace, and wherever you
think people will see them. This is an opportunity to spread the news
about co-operativism/co-operation.

As Eric (the ICC General Manager) correctly reminded us below, the
building is a little hard to find with just its official address (1522
Hill Street).
If you have already put up the flyer, can you hand-write the phrase
("behind 1510-1520 Hill")
on the copy of the flyer you have put up (This way, people will have
an easier time locating the building).
In case you have not already put up the flyer, or would like to put up
another copy, I have also enclosed a new version of the flyer, with
the above phrase incorportated into the flyer (and with the ICC's
"twin-pines" and "rainbow" logos included as part of the flyer, as
well).
Thank you so much for putting up the flyer, and sorry about not
thinking about this at the first iteration of the flyer....
