This Wednesday! September 22nd:AAFS Documentary & Discussion Series- "The Take: Occupy. Resist. Produce."7pm-9pm at Digital Ops 525 Liberty
Join us for this amazing documentary followed by a community discussion.
In the wake of Argentina's dramatic economic collapse in 2001, this documentary, by Avi Lewis and Naomi Klein, follows the struggle of workers at several closed factories in their attempt to occupy the factories, reopen them and operate them. Armed only with slingshots and an abiding faith in shop-floor democracy, the workers face off against the bosses, bankers and a whole system that sees their beloved factories as nothing more than scrap metal for sale.
