Your trust and encouragement for Mahalaya team mean a great deal to us, we (Arpita Gupta and Sutapa Chakraborty) are happy to contribute in our personal capacity towards this event without putting burden on any other member of our team. We made arrangement right after EC's refusal in the very beginning.
We will be happy if this $100 can be used where EC feels will be more beneficial.

However, as was communicated earlier, since ICC had indicated it would not be able to take on financial responsibility for Mahalaya this year, Sutapa and I had already decided to personally contribute $400 towards the event. We have also taken care of arranging the backdrop that was discussed, which came with a nominal cost.
Even last year, I personally covered these expenses without passing them on to ICC.
While we are grateful for your consideration, this support amount won’t significantly offset the overall costs. We would therefore like to request that the approved $100 be kindly redirected towards Puja flowers, the kids’ pizza, or wherever EC feels it would be more effectively utilized.
Please rest assured that we are fully capable of handling the Mahalaya expenses ourselves.
