Many people comment on how students are changing. They have different
skills now, in 2008. The tools of communication used by students on
our classes are different. Neil Postman in Amusing Ourselves To Death,
is often cited in converstions about this change. I believe that
students can learn to delve into the subject matter using tools from
the current time and tools from the past. Our challenge is to present
both and use them wisely. Perhaps the new tools can serve as a bridge
to the minds and hearts of our students?
