Hi, everyone, my name is Deb Callaway. I am an RN. I graduated from
Illinois Central College many years ago (1988) with an Associates
Degree in nursing. I went back to college to earn my Bachelor's in
Nursing at the University of Phoenix-online, receiving that in 2005.
I now have returned to ICC, but in the role of an Adjunct Faculty
member in the nursing assistant program. I teach clinicals and as a
lab assistant. I also work for a company called Emergency Resource
Staffing, Inc. I fill in a few days a week in nursing homes. This
Wednesday, I start a new job as an RN with Progressive Housing, Inc.,
which is a company that manages small, 16 bed group homes for the
developmental disabled. I am anxious to start in this new role.
On a personal note, I am a wife to a great husband Randy for the past
31 years, a mom to two great daughters, and grandmom to 4 fantastic
grandbabies. I also am a new and proud catholic. We joined our
church last Easter.

I am excited to be in this program to learn more about how I can
assist my students, and learn more about 'emerging technologies' for
my own personal use as well. Thanks, Deb

Hi Deb,
I'm glad you are joining us. You sound like you have a lot on your
plate. I hope you find some useful technologies for your professional
development and in the classroom. Check out iGoogle. You may find it
useful for keeping track of medical websites.
