Many TV channels including Indian media give access to view their channels online via an IP or also called IPTV m3u8 format, we call this an IPTV. Usually, these kinds of IPTV links are available for free and many are paid too.

Our goal here is to load publicly available TV channels on Kodi VLC, and POT Player. The best part here is that Kodi, VLC, and POT Player are available on desktops, Laptops, Mobiles, Android, Apple Phones, and Android TV too.

We are going to download some zip files from Github. These files come in a zip format or are compressed with a zip archive. We need to extract them. The best way to do it is with 7Zip. You can also try WinRAR or any decompression or compression application.

As normal users, we have always underestimated VLC players. Basically to be frank we never knew the power of VLC. Until we learned what it can do. We can Play a Local video file. Stream online TV channels or even record Online TV shows. I guess now you know why we use the VLC player.

Working with VLC and Pot Player is awesome when you are on a PC. But if you are using a Mobile Phone, like Android and Smart TV with Android OS, it becomes really hard to set up live TV. This is where Kodi plays a vital role. Kodi is available for both Smart Phone and Android TV. Which makes it easier to configure.

First things first. We need the source for our live TV, and the source is usually in m3u or m3u8 format. So how do we find it?. Well, we need to go to GitHub. The one place where you can find almost anything.

Once you download it, now you can extract the files with 7Zip and store them in a place. In my case, I have saved it on the Desktop. Once you have extracted the files, you will see the following files inside it.

Downloading Pot Player is quite simple, just go to and choose whether you need 32bit or 64bit installation. In my case I have a 64bit OS installed, so I am going to choose 64bit. Once the setup file is downloaded. Go ahead and install it. Make sure to install the codecs too at the end.

Now, as soon as you click open the player will start playing the Live TV. To browse the channels, now you can click on the bottom Hamburger option. This will load the list of available TV channels.

VLC Media Player is one of the most popular video players of all time. We can do so many things like, play music, watch downloaded movies, stream live TV channels, and also Record the Live TV channels. In this section, we will see how we can watch Live TV shows with VLC. Download the VLC media player from and install it.

the other RAI streams do not work outside Italy because of GEO-BLOCKING. My lists only contain the worldwide free and legal streams. There are of course always other ways to watch the other RAI streams, but most of them are not legal. ;-)

Just discover this thread. I started putting together the "best of" of these lists after our Samsung TV was updated to TV plus and I now want to extend this with other streams and other TVs (via IPTV app on ATV4 and Google TV).

I have ignored drama/movies since I am sure they make Tubi TV look good (and that is free), and concentrated on lifestyle, news, entertainment news of interest to us. I can copy and paste these into my own m3u and then upload to my favorite IPTV app. And I can modify when I realise some of these are not what I expected (from my brief sampling via VLC).

here are the German streams that I found. There you already have these streams. The ones with AT and CH are also in German. Since I don't have a Samsung TV, I can't find the others. The other streams from the list in German would be interesting.

You have to realize I don't actually have access to a samsung tv with tv plus. I'm actually looking into running a dns server or proxy on a spare pc and getting someone with the service to pass their tv traffic through my proxy..

here is my list of streams for Germany. Some are only available in English. I have 20 streams, you found 7 streams! Now let's FINALLY get an M3U ready with all the streams we have. A lot of people from Germany have been waiting for it for a long time.

I got that right. You have 7 of the ones on my missing list. You wrote that yourself above. ;-) I would be happy if you provide the 7 streams. It takes a few minutes. My lists above for you, it only took a few minutes. :-)

not using the .at .ch channels as they not part of the german tvplus

these types of channels which are more exclusive to the German service are near impossible to locate without access to the service itself. All you can do is blindly guess based on naming patterns, ill try when i have time

sorry but you're making a real drama about it. I am now looking for someone else. in the Kodi forum in Germany, which is where I am. I find someone with a Samsung TV, Wireshark and a FritzBox, then it works very quickly ... I am really too dumb now ... sorry. Your first Samsung TV Plus lists only had a few channels, less than 40 on some when you published them. Bye!

You do whatever you like, i see no urgency in getting these streams. As I said ,if they don't appear in other resources , without access to the service itself its pretty much a case bruteforce blindly trying the naming patterns until you hit them.

I've been trying to guess these ones for a few months now, as they are shared across some of the TV plus regions, my research finds that some are linked from the same companys so. A case of guess the naming pattern correctly and it will also match the other associated streams they provide. Guessing one can lead to opening up the rest. Thats why i havn't released some services yet.

The samsung playlists will have an epg one day (hopefully) Maybe matt can find a samsung device that will use the app and pull their epg from it. Though the official app is only the U.S channels, better than nothing

AS I TOLD you in my other post I have 46 out of 86 and would much rather complete some of the remaining one that im researching before posting. As they are connected to the same company offering multiple channels.

After doing this: IPTV Merge > Playlists > Add Playlist > URL

It asks me if I want an epg then gives me the option to enter a URL and I entered appsattv details but no epg.

What am I doing wrong please.?

BTW, there a now new Trace branded channels which appeared 2 weeks ago on the Samsung TV plus (for Aus of course). The Trace Urban seems the best of the lot, it actually plays back to back music video clips of urban music (if that is your thing).

Yes and 3 other new channels for Australia ... I have alternative streams for them but rather than use them temporarily. I would prefer to wait and place them with the correct link.
