Dear all,

I just published a snapshot release for the upcoming verion 1.0.0 of

python-icat - Python interface to ICAT and IDS

As this will be a major version release, there are many changes,
including some breaking ones. See the Changelog [1] for details.

You can run

$ pip install python-icat==1.0.0b1

to install it.

I'd like to ask all of you to give it a thorough round of testing and
to report any issue that you might come across. I would like to make
the final release in December.

Best regards,
Rolf

Dear all,

this is a gentle reminder to test the python-icat 1.0 snapshot
release. I plan to make the release soon, unless I get reports about
any issue with the snapshot.

You can run

$ pip install python-icat==1.0.0b1

to install it.

Best regards,
Rolf

Hi Rolf,

We have tested the snapshot release against DataGateway API and we're happy with it. We've got to make some minor changes to our unit tests because `client.new()` is now case insensitive, but that will allow us to refactor and simplify our usage of that function so it's a welcome change.

Thanks very much,
Matthew Richards
