The RIS group at LAAS-CNRS has an opening for a post-doctoral position in the field of automated planning and scheduling. The position is in the context of the AIPlan4EU project for which the candidate is expected to work on the following tasks:

- development of state of the art automated planners, with an emphasis on rich temporal and hierarchical features
- integration of the developed planners in the decision infrastructure developed within the AIPlan4EU project
- application on one or multiple use-cases brought in by industrial partners of the AIPlan4EU project

# RIS group at LAAS-CNRS

The candidate will be integrated in the Robotic and InteractionS (RIS) team of LAAS-CNRS. The RIS team positions itself at the intersection of AI and robotics to tackle the emerging problems in autonomous systems, in particular the ones that appear when robots are brought to interact among themselves (multi-robot) or with human beings. Among the many methods involved in the decision making and situation assessment of modern robotic systems, the RIS group at LAAS as a long history of research in the AI planning domain, with a strong emphasis on:
• temporal planning and scheduling,
• connection with acting/execution,
• connection with motion planning,
• connection with HRI,
• hierarchical representations,
• robotic applications

From IxTeT, to FAPE, including IxTeT-exec, PropicePlan (OpenPRS), Asymo, HATP; the group has a long record of developed and deployed systems, often running on real robots.

# AIPlan4EU project

AIPlan4EU is a 3 years long H2020 project whose goal is to develop and deploy a Unified Planning Framework to host various planning technologies as to solve a large number of planning problems encountered in the industry. The diversity of real world planning problems and the various types of planning technology initially proposed will be both enriched through some cascade funding calls for participation. Within the AIPlan4EU, RIS is contributing to the UPF and is looking for a postdoc to work full time on the project for, at least, one year. The position will require to exchange with all AIPlan4EU partners, academic but also companies, participate to meeting and discussion and develop and integrate the planning system(s) RIS intend to contribute to the platform.
