The School of Artificial Intelligence at Nanjing University (https://www.nju.edu.cn/en/) was officially established on March 5, 2018, and inaugurated on May 20, 2018. It is the first School of Artificial Intelligence among China’s C9 universities, dedicated to building a world-class academic center and a top-tier talent training base in the field of artificial intelligence. Over the past 7 years since its founding, the school has made remarkable progress, assembling a high-level faculty team led by world-class experts and vibrant young scholars with international influence. The school is committed to cultivating outstanding students with a strong sense of social responsibility, exceptional professional abilities, and well-rounded development in virtue, intellect, and physical fitness. It was the first in China to release an undergraduate education and training system for artificial intelligence, and was among the first to be selected as a national first-class undergraduate program construction site for artificial intelligence. Supported by top platforms such as the national key laboratory that has ranked first in computer science for 15 consecutive years, the National Natural Science Foundation’s innovation group, the Ministry of Education’s talent introduction base, and Jiangsu Province’s excellent collaborative innovation center, as well as joint laboratories, research centers, and training bases with leading enterprises, the school has continuously made significant progress in cutting-edge scientific research, major national projects, and industry-university-research collaborative innovation.
Nanjing is a historic city located in eastern China, serving as the capital of Jiangsu Province. Renowned for its rich cultural heritage, Nanjing has been the capital of several Chinese dynasties and is home to many ancient landmarks, such as the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum and the city wall.
