Dear Colleagues,

we are looking for an exceptional postdoctoral research associate to join the Dynamic Robot Systems - Control (DRS-C) group of the Oxford Robotics Institute. At DRS-C we work on autonomy for mobile articulated robots, and focus on machine learning, motion and path planning, and control for dynamic robots in real-world environments.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about developing learning-based (loco-)manipulation approaches, considering multiple feedback modalities, and deploying these to -real- articulated mobile robots. The work will span domains such as learning-based whole-body motion planning and control, legged multi-contact manipulation and locomotion, reinforcement learning and optimization, and experience in one or more of these areas is desirable.

The project underpinning this position is aimed at collaborative work with colleagues from ETH Zurich’s 'RobotX - Center for Robotics' and has a rich plan of joint workshops, visits and other activities.

How to apply and further information can be found at: https://eng.ox.ac.uk/jobs/job-detail/?vacancyID=180776

Closing date for applications is: 12.00pm (noon, UK) Monday 1st September 2025.

Best,
Ioannis
