Dear Beloved and Partners in Christ

Greetings in the Wonderful Name of Jesus Christ

Thanks to each one of you who has been a part in helping repair the mission house.  It is finished, but a few things are yet to be done.  Since my return to Haiti on September 20th, I live in it and we are ready to lodge in it worker teams who may come to help with construction work or otherwise

The school was officially reopened on the October 4, but most of the students did not go to school, because of lack of shelter or lack of fund.  This is why, we started to rebuild the schools in Leogane and Carrefour-Dufort.  The ingineer and the masons, carpenters, and others are working on them to see if we may be able to have a shelter for the students within 2, 3 or more weeks.  Those 2 schools were our priorities after the mission house.  For if we did not manage to build a shelter for them, they would go to other schools that have shelters and we would loose them and  would have to close them for good and the teachers, mostly christians, would loose their jobs and would be condemned not find jobs  maybe for years.  This is one of the reason why they were our priorities.

Besides the need to build schools and churches that were distroyed, it is important to tell you there are still 1.2 millions homeless, or less than 5% of the earthquaque rubbles have been removed to make room for new homes.  As I said the school reopened last monday and many students willl fing no place to continue their education

Haiti is place of continual calamities.  On Friday September 24, it was struck by a heavy tonado that killed many people in Port-au-Prince.  Several people living under tents had a very hard time then.  A lady, Maryse, had her tent destroyed.  When she came in, she discoved that her husband was dead.  He left her with 4 children and no help. Somebody was able to give her a tent.  This is the way the needy Haitians are struggling with life.  Help for tents is very needed here.

Anyone of you who feel led to take a part in helping with those projects and problems, please do so, For we need your help.   Whatever you can do will be very much appreciated, and the Lord will bless you wonderfully.

Gratefully yours in Jesus,

Andre and Ghislaine Louis
