I am pleased to inform you that Post Graduate Department of Commerce of S.C.D Government College Ludhiana  is going to organize its 1^st National Conference on the Theme " Emerging Dimensions of Financial Reporting and Accounting Practices" on 10^th and 11^th August, 2010  sponsored by University Grants Commission New Delhi in the “Sahir Auditorium” of the College . The Conference will be a mega event for the researchers in the field of commerce and management to deliberate on the various issue regarding Financial Reporting and Accounting Practices.

It is further informed to you that Satish Chander Dhawan Government College is premier educational institution which was setup in Ludhiana City of Undivided British Punjab in the year 1920. Over the years the college diversified in its areas of imparting education and courses in commerce (B.Com. I/II/III), B.Sc. Vocational Education in Industrial Microbiology and seven Postgraduate departments have been added, making this college a kind of a small university in itself.
