hola buenos dias, recientemente en mi trabajo me pidieron hacer la instalacion de AtoM en todos los computadores de la empresa, lo busque y lo descargue pero he tenido problemas en instalarlo, ya que en el documento comprimido no encuentro un paso a paso acertado o algun documento de instalacion .exe o ejecutable, seria de gran ayuda que alguien me explicara como instalar este programa. Muchas gracias.

Hola Oscar,

A couple of things.

First, AtoM is intended to be installed on a linux-based server - NOT on a personal computer or a laptop. We develop, test, and prepare our documentation against Linux Ubuntu. You can find the installation documentation here, for both Ubuntu 14.04 and 16.04:

AtoM does not include an installer or .exe file - it is a manual installation process, intended to be done by a system administrator familiar with the unix/linux command-line and general server/application maintenance.

However, the user interface of the application is web based - once you have it properly installed on a server, many users can access the same site via a web browser. So, unless you need many different installations, you will only need to install it once. You users will be able to access your AtoM site anywhere they have a web browser and an internet connection. To see what it is supposed to be like and do, check out our demo site, and these introductory slides:

If you need to install on a different server (e.g. Windows server, etc), we strongly recommend virtualization - that is, create an Ubuntu virtual machine on your server and install AtoM inside it.

No, AtoM will not install directly on Windows. However, it would be possible to install inside a production-ready Ubuntu virtual machine running on a Windows server. See:

I know that cloud-based virtual machine offerings from Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and hosting services such as Digital Ocean, include Ubuntu options as well. There are likely many other options and tutorials available out there.

Muchas gracias.

Ya he montando el servidor virtual e instalado todo.

Pero tengo un problema:

Al acceder a localhost y empezar a configurar ATOM no he cambiado el usuario y la contraseña de mysql y al llegar al paso de conectar a elastic search no me ha fallado.

¿Qué puedo hacer?

Adjunto error.

If restaarting services doesn't help, then you might need to modify the execution limits, as the section suggests. See:

Hola. Gracias por tu atención.

He revisado la configuración de PHP y todo lo que ponen en las instrucciones que me has indicado y sigue saliendo ese error.

Y sigue saliendo el error de tiempo de espera agotado.

Pero si vuelvo a abrir localhost ya me sale página de atom como si estuviera terminada la instalación. Pero lo que pasa es que no tengo usuario para hacer login. Ese dato lo pide en el punto de Load data y es ahí donde no llega el instalador.

Hay alguna manera de acceder. ¿Podría crear manualmente lo que se introduce en el punto de Load data?

I am a bit worried that the installation will not be complete, but you can create a new administrative user from the command-line. See:

https://www.accesstomemory.org/docs/latest/admin-manual/maintenance/cli-tools/#add-a-superuser-admin-account

When you reviewed the PHP execution limits, did you increase any values? You may want to try increasing values such as:

max_execution_time
memory_limit
max_input_time

If it is at all possible, you might also want to increase the available system memory, just for the installation process. Ideally, your server or VM should have at least 4GB RAM available, and even up to 8GB RAM can be useful just for installation - Elasticsearch especially seems to require a lot of system resources to install, but once configured, this much RAM should not be necessary on a daily basis.

¿Podrías enviarme la imagen de la máquina virtual ya instalado ATOM.?

No puedo ampliar más la memoria. Es un servidor que uso para más cosas.
