Good day

We have implemented EXIF in AtoM and save the matadata into "Physical characteristics and technical requirements". See screenshot.

Any other recommendations?

Great idea to import easily the technical information from a digitally taken foto.

Is the GPS information also put into the metadata of the digital object?

That would show the place on the map immediately to check.

And since you are able to read the EXIF data, could you transfer the IPTC data from the JPEG images, too?

There might be author, copyright, title, descrition and even keywords available ...

(And it would save my effort to implement a migration from annotated fotos to AtoM ;-))

It extracts IPTC , EXIF and XMP. It adds Subject, Creator and Title.
Everyting in the link was extracted from the uploaded image
