Hi, I was wondering, if we've set up an accession mask as A%Y-#iii, so that accessions appear as A2018-001, A2018-002, A2018-003, etc., once a new year starts, will the last three digits start back at 001 or will they keep going based on the last three digits of 2018 (e.g., if the last accession of 2018 was A2018-100, will the first accession of 2019 be A2019-001 or A2019-101?). If it's the latter, is there any way to set-up the mask so that the last three digits start back at 001 with every new year?

Thanks

Hi there,

I haven't done much testing myself to confirm, but I'm pretty sure that the accessions mask will keep incrementing, rather than reset with the new year.

However, it should be fairly easy to resolve this. The incrementation count is based on the Accessions counter field just below the mask in the settings. If you reset this back to zero in the new year, then I believe that your next accession should be A2019-001.

I tested this out quickly on our public demo site, and it seems to work as expected! Feel free to play around there yourself.
