Hi there,

We'll need a bit more information about your installation environment to be able to offer suggestions.

Have you followed our recommended installation guidelines (e.g. Ubuntu 14.04, Elasticsearch 1.3+, MySQL 5.5+, Nginx as your webserver, PHP 5.4+, etc)?

Are you by any chance running this as a virtual machine on a local computer, with something like Vagrant, VirtualBox, or perhaps one of the Windows development environments such as WAMP or XAMPP? If so, and your doing this on a local computer, then when the computer interrupts, the virtualization interrupts as well, as the webserver is just a virtualized local process running on the computer. You will need to install on a persistent, web-accessible server - then you can access your site from any computer via the web, and it will not interrupt when any individual computer used for access is shut down.

If not, have you tried running the application in Debug mode to get a stack trace, or taken a look at the webserver error logs? Please share anything of interest you find in these places, so we have more information.

Any other helpful information you can provide will assist us in offering better support.

Hi there,

It appears that your filesystem permissions are not properly configured - because of this, AtoM can't write to the install directory. If PHP is running as www-data in your system, then you can use the following command to set the proper permissions:
  • sudo chown -R www-data:www-data /usr/share/nginx/atom

See:

Note that for further troubleshooting we still need more information about your installation environment - particularly, if you are installing this locally on a computer in a virtual machine, instead of on a server.

Cheers,
