I have added these enhancements as attached.

The aim is to give feedback per Archival Description, add the  Archival Description to a favorites list (not to always search for the last worked item), and Request to Publish (this is to request permission and the original to use in external word-publications).

The cart is to request multiple  Archival Description to publish.

Email settings is also added to route this requests/feedback to an administrator.

Hi Johan,

Thanks for sharing your demo site! Dan did some testing of these features on your site and gave me a few notes of feedback that I thought might be helpful to you and to any others looking at these features:

1.  the "Add to favorites" functionality simply did not work for me in your demo site. I logged in with the Demo 3 account, tried adding 3 different images / descriptions, and then followed the link in the Static Pages Menu to the Favorites page - but the table was always empty. Other than the page reloading when I hit the "Add to favorites" button, I also got feedback as to whether it worked - meaning I could not tell if it DID work, and if I revisited a description in the future, I would not be able to tell if I had already favorited it or not.

2. some of the related new pages for listing these things (like the forms, and the Favorites) are listed in the Manage menus page... but what would happen if a user deleted these pages, and then wanted to re-add them later?

3. Since all the demo data in your test site had images and the buttons you have added in this new functionality are placed at the top of the metadata display in view pages, I wasn't sure if this functionality only applied to descriptions with digital objects attached or not - so I created a test description in your demo site with no DO. I was happy to see that the Favorites and Feedback functionality had no DO requirement - as for the "Request to Publish," it was also present, but I wonder if an internal check for a linked digital object before loading this button might make sense? Do you expect to have publication requests for metadata only records? Note that the "Browse digital objects" link in the right-hand context menu already has this check, so there is existing code you could study and possibly reuse...

This might be of use to others as they go to investigate the proposed changes. And it might be useful feedback for you if you want to add things to the functionalities over time. And please if anyone has any comments on these features, please let us know!

Best wishes,
Sarah
