[Bravismore Mumanyi]

Dear atom users

I have an active ATOM instance with public IP and DNS. However, Google cannot find it.

Is there some setting that I need to enable to allow Search Engine robots to my ATOM?

Hi Bravismore,

 

As far as I know you shouldn’t have to change anything in the application. Is your AtoM instance publicly linked from a page that Google does index?

All we did was to allocate a public IP through NAT and an external DNS entry.

Its accessible on: http://archives.unam.na/

Do we need to do something on the Google side for it to crawl the site?

I think it’s unlikely Google will find the page on its own (with no links from any other page); the page above also gives instructions about submitting your URL if that proves necessary. We will also see if your link in this post helps!
