Hi AtoM,

I'm encountering a problem with the TreeView on several of my AtoM Installations. In some Cases the TreeView doesn't show more than 100 Childs of a Node. The archival descripton is attached to the proper parent and the Identifier is build correctly, but its not showing up in the TreeView. And so the automatic unfolding also doesn't work.

I have tried rebuilding the nested-set and the search index with no results.

And it ist possible to attach more than 100 AD to a parent, and they will show up in the TreeView, but I think only, when I have imported them via CVS.

Any suggestions what is happening here or where I should look to investigate this?

greets
Raphael

Hi Raphael,

A few people have reported similar issues recently, and I think it may be due to a settings change we made to help with scalability, which does not seem to be working properly after upgrades. The good news is that, if this is the cause, you'll just need to update a setting to resolve it.

The setting to double-check is your Items Per Page setting for the full-width treeview, in Admin > Settings > Treeview. If you have large hierarchies, I would recommend that you try setting this value to the maximum of 10000 rather than the default 50. See:
Be sure to clear your browser cache before re-testing, or use an incognito/private browser window, where the cache is typically disabled by default..

I am hoping this fixes things - if not, please let us know more about your environment so we can reproduce locally, such as:
  • The full version number listed in Admin > Settings > Global
  • Whether you followed our recommended installation instructions for that version, and if not, what changes you made (i.e. different operating system, PHP / MySQL / ElasticSearch version, different web server, etc)
  • Anything else that will help us understand and reproduce the issue locally
This issue was discussed recently in this forum thread, and another user shared some interesting notes on what he saw during the upgrade process (thanks Brandon!) that I will be passing on to our Maintainers for review.

In the meantime, let us know if updating that setting helps!

Hi Dan,

thank you very much :D Increasing the "items per page" value to 10000 solved the problem.
