Translation deadline for ICA-AtoM 1.0.8

Dear translators,

On October 9 we will be merging the translations from the translate
site into the new release of ICA-AtoM. This means that only the
translated content that is in the translate site by the end of the day
on October 8 will make it into the new release. You may wish to spend
some time during the next week updating any last content or double-
checking your translations.

Once again, we thank all translators for their hard work. It is
greatly appreciated by all of us working on ICA-AtoM.

I have been waiting for our Brazillian coleagues about a new translation or both PT-BT amd PT-PT but till now nobody answer. What can I do for October 9 ?

Hi Rafael and Evelyn,

Vitor sent to us (portuguese translators) a email in Aug 27 talking about a contact that he would do to Evelyn, asking about a portuguese language fork to PT_BR and PT_PT.  We had no news if that contact was made. Vitor has many responsibilities in the brazilian national archives, maybe he has not had time to make contact.

We are all waiting for news about the portuguese language fork. I think the work to translate the 1.0.8 release will not be so hard if we do not split our translation effort now. We need the PT_BR and PT_PT but if this is a impossible feature to 1.0.8 release, we can do it with only one portuguese language option.

Hi Ricardo and Rafael,

 

We would be happy to provide two versions of Portuguese after 1.0.8 is released. You're right that it's not possible to do before the 1.0.8 release, but we can do it once that release is done and the translate site is updated. This will probably be in early November.

Our first goal must be 1.0.8 availability so I agree that we must do all the best for such. After that there will be a lot of opportunities to find a better solution acceptable for all Portuguese language countries.

Hi Rafael,

 

Any translations you add to the translate site between now and Thursday will go into ICA-AtoM 1.0.8, so the best thing you can do to help is to go over the existing translations and make any last-minute changes and updates you think are necessary. Thanks.
