Getting a little further with my issues I had a couple of weeks ago.   I now have the two sites running under the same nginx with different php sockets.  There seems to be some spillage between copies.   For example one site is only supposed to have one archival institution but when both sites are populated it has the same number of institutions as the other copy.   I'm wondering if this would be an issue with elasticsearch or memcache or something else.   I stopped all processes (nginx, php, elasticsearch, memcache, gearman) and restarted everything.   I ran php symfony cc on both copies and then ran php symfony search:populate on only the site that was supposed to have one archival institution.   When I looked at the site it had the correct institution.

During the install I choose different "search index" name for each site.   Just need to be pointed in the right direction.

Hi Doug,

We're having a similar problem with a data bleed between two AtoM 2.4 sites hosted on the same VM.   We're investigating, but haven't figured out the cause of the problem or whether it's a regression introduced in AtoM 2.4.  I'll post back here when we know more.

Best regards,
David

Hi Doug,

To clarify, you're getting _content_ spillage by the sound of it? I take it the two sites don't look exactly alike (and e.g. in their respective /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/ files, it's "server_name <actualURL>;" not "server_name _;" for instance)?

If you add a test description on one site say, does a search on it (e.g. in quotes content in the description you create like "An Oct 25 test description") show up in both? As in, by Archival Institutions do you mean http://<site>/repository/browse shows the same two institutions even though one site should not have the second one?

Or do most things not spill over, but some do (for example, if you go to Admin -> Settings, pick site information and on one site modify the Description and then refresh both sites does the change happen on both?

Hope those questions made sense - let me know if not.

David,  There is only one sites-enabled file with the two sites configured.   Since I stopped everything, cleared the cache and rebuilt the issues seems to have gone away.   I'll keep testing.   I think it may have been something cached from previous test installs.
