visualización de derivados en pdf

Hola a todos,

Disculpad que pregunte en español, lo hago para precisar mejor la pregunta. Si no hay respuesta, trataré de enviar la misma consulta en inglés, en cualquier caso, gracias por adelantado.

Tengo una instalación de AtoM 2.1.3 sobre Windows y creo que el sistema no está bien asociado con el software ImageMagick:

- Cuando subo derivados en pdf no se genera la imagen derivada sino que tanto en el carrusel como en la imagen de referencia aparece un símbolo de archivo pdf, pero no muestra la imagen de la primera página.

- Si opto por intentar modificar la configuración de derivados, me encuentro el siguiente mensaje de error: "The pdfinfo tool is required to use this functionality. Please contact your system administrator." ¿Alguna idea de cuál es este error y cómo solucionarlo?

- Tengo el software ImageMagick descargado pero me temo que no está conectado o asociado con AtoM ¿Qué instrucciones debemos dar para que se asocien correctamente?

Hola Manuel, 

pdfinfo should have been installed as a part of poppler-utils in this step of the installation instructions:

I think that you might be encountering a known issue caused by a change in the Ghostscript and Imagemagick libraries. For more information and a fix, see:

You will need to regenerate your derivatives after - see: 

• https://www.accesstomemory.org/docs/latest/admin-manual/maintenance/cli-tools/#regenerating-derivatives 

I would also recommend restarting PHP-FPM and clearing the application cache.

Hola Dan, muchas gracias por tu rápida respuesta!

Cuando hace años me hicieron la instalación original de AtoM (2.3.1) NO instalamos ImageMagick, por lo que hemos usado AtoM sin esa aplicación. Ahora sí lo necesitamos y por tanto la he descargado (versión 7.06). Tras su descarga, he puesto la carpeta ImageMagick en la ruta c:/Archivos de programa (x86). Sin embargo, lo que necesitaría es saber cómo conectar o asociar AtoM a la aplicación ImageMagick. Es decir, ¿cómo le indico a AtoM que ahora debe trabajar con ImageMagick?

Mi instalación de AtoM es sobre Windows7

Una vez instalado, modificaremos el fichero policy.xml y ejecutaremos los comandos de regenerar derivados y limpiar caché, pero antes necesito tener ambas aplicacione aociadas ¿no?

Hi Manuel, 

I understand now. Yes, you will need to install and configure imagemagick and the other additional packages to be able to process digital objects. Unfortunately, I cannot offer recommendations for how to configure your Windows installation environment. We test and develop AtoM on Linux Ubuntu, and generally recommend that Windows users use virtualization. In the Ubuntu environment, there is no configuration necessary - as you can see we simply install Imagemagick and related libraries here in our documentation, and upon installation, AtoM takes care of the rest.
