Are you encountering a specific issue?

To install AtoM, you will need a production-ready server running Linux Ubuntu and some basic familiarity with using the command-line. If you're completely brand new, we have a command-line 101 slide deck here:

If you run into problems along the way, try searching in this forum, and check out some of the tips on the Troubleshooting documentation page. If you're still stuck, please provide us with more information, including: 

• The version of AtoM you are trying to install
• The operating system you are using - and if you have made any other changes from the recommended documentation, tell us more about those as well
• A detailed description of the error or problem you are encountering. Any relevant error messages (which can often be found here) or screenshots are welcome as well and can help us provide better responses. 

After installing AtoM, you will also likely want to find a domain name provider, who can provide you with a domain for your site. Typically, for a small annual fee, you will provide them with the DNS A-Record of your site (an IP address pointing to the installation) and they will add a redirect to your chosen domain name (e.g. www.example.com) so that when users enter that address into their web browser, they are directed to your site. 

If installing and maintaining AtoM is not something that you have the skills or resources to do on your own, there are several companies offering AtoM services, such as application hosting - including Artefactual. For more information Artefactual's services, see:
