search problem when using Arabic language or accented letters

hi,

I use ica atom 1.3.2 with wampserver under windows. I added archival descriptions in arab and french succesfully. 

when I search for data in arabic language or data that contains french accented letters, Ica atom always display : 

• No results found.

even if the data exists in the database.

please is there a solution for this problem or it is a problem of creation of the search query which does not take in concederation the Arabic and French languages.

in this case is it possible to modify some stuff in the code of ica atom to solve the problem?

Hi Sofiane, 

There will be a limit to the amount of support we will be able to provide. ICA-AtoM 1.3.2 is a very old release (2015) that is no longer supported, and we also do not test or develop with solutions such as WAMP. 

There have been many improvements in later versions of AtoM, including important security patches, scalability and performance improvements, new features, and yes, improvements to the search index and how it handles multilingual content. If at all possible, I would strongly recommend that you consider upgrading to the latest version of AtoM, v2.6.4. See:

That said: have you added Arabic as a language under Admin > Settings > i18n languages, and then reindexed your site? This may help resolve the issues you are experiencing. See:

Hi, 

Thank you for your reply. 

Regarding the last version of atom, it requires a lot of stuff Wich contains a lot of problems in windows 32 (like elasticsearch). In addition there is not a video witch illustrates the installation of atom under windows.

Concerning the second part of your answer, I have already added the Arabic language but the problem still persists. And it is not only with the Arabic language but also with the French language when the search text contains accented letters like é or ú.
