We are using AtoM 2.5 and when I toggle the visible elements and visible area headings to not visible / unchecked, they still display to the public when not logged-in. What am I missing? We want the Conditions of access and use to not display to those not logged-in.

Hi Matt,

I've just tested this in a local Vagrant version running stable/2.5.x (aka the 2.5.1 release) and it appears to be working as expected for me. Some suggestions and clarifications:

First, note that the Visible elements settings for ISAD Area headings DO NOT hide all fields within the area - they only hide the actually section headings (those shown in orange in the default Dominion theme) from the public display. There is currently no setting for hiding the actual ISAD 3.4.1 field "Conditions governing access" since this field is typically used to share access restrictions with the public. If you need to capture information about access restrictions that you don't want visible to the public, you might consider using the PREMIS rights to attach a rights statement to a description  - these are not visible to public users. See:
My other suggestion is to retry testing this in an icognito browser, and/or make sure you clear your browser cache before testing. It's possible that your browser has cached a version of the page you are seeing, so even when logged out, it's serving you the locally cached version, and therefore not displaying recent changes to you.

Let me know if that helps!

Dan,

Thanks. We need to make that field not visible to public viewers for the time-being. We'll try to figure-out a work-around for Access to Memory.
