loading jp2 images

We are migrating our content to AToM and when I first started loading CSVs, I included a link to a jp2 file in the digitalObjectURI column. The images loaded and surrogates were created. Now however it won't accept jp2s, on CSVs or manual upload.

I know the documentation does not list it as a supported file format but it worked up until about 2 months ago. Can someone tell me what has changed? Is there a way around this? Did I make a change that has prevented it? We have version 2.7.1.

Thanks,
Sinéad

Good day  Sinéad

Importing jp2 into AtoM 2.8 works fine.

There is some free jp2 to jpg converters available if that is an option.

The demo site is on 2.8.2 - 193 and it uploads but editing it produces an error.
Perhaps you can test on my demo site? http://plainsailing.dedicated.co.za/atom28 (login details on main screen)

Thanks Johan, I never thought to check a demo site to see if the problem was only on our site. It doesn't work but I have a feeling it's the file size even though I have it set to 'no limits' . I was trying to shortcut the uploads and point to the jp2 service files on our digital library. It had worked for previous batches but just stopped. AToM is happy when I use smaller files on a different server so I'll just do that. I wondered if we had changed something ourselves to stop it working.

Thanks for your help.

Hi  Sinéad

Perhaps your server is running out of space?
Do you import from the command line or from the main page?

Hi Johan,
I'm importing by CSV and I've tried adding them manually on individual records but not on the command line. I think you're right about the size so I will look at creating smaller jpeg versions and importing those.
Thanks,
Sinéad
