Hello,

I recently downloaded AtoM version 2.4 and have started using the program to set up archival descriptions. I wanted to move one of my descriptions from the File level under a Series to a Sub-Series, but whenever I try to move any description I get a 500 Internal Server (as seen below). Any thoughts on why this is happening?

Thank you

Hi Mark,

In 2.3 and later, the Move module is relying on the Job scheduler to perform the move operation. My first guess would be that the AtoM worker needs to be restarted. Please see the following thread for information on how to check the webserver logs for more info, how to verify that the job scheduler is installed properly, and how to restart it to see if that resolves the issue:
If restarting the atom-worker doesn't resolve the issue, please share any related message you find in your webserver logs. Any additional info you can provide about your particular installation will help us as well, such as:
  • Can you give me the full version number listed in Admin > Settings?
  • Did you follow our recommended installation instructions? If so, are you using Ubuntu 14.04 or 16.04? If not, what have you changed?
  • What version of PHP are you using?
  • Any other particulars of your installation we should know about? Custom theme plugin? Firewall rules or VPNs? etc.

Hi Dan,

I asked our IT support and he wrote me back:

Hi Mark,

If the worker is not found at all, then it's possible it may not have been installed. The instructions for doing so are found in a different page of the manual (though there is a link at the end of the installation instructions), here:
I would ask your IT support team to review the following document, and ensure everything is installed and configured correctly. Let us know if you run into issues.

Cheers,

Thank you so much Dan, that seems to have worked and I'm having no issues moving descriptions now!

Have a great weekend,
Mark

Sorry to bother you again Dan, but I'm also receiving an error message now when trying to import records in .csv format:

This page isn’t working

archive.bg.ca is currently unable to handle this request.

HTTP ERROR 500

Do you think that is related to this thread?
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/ica-atom-users/http$20error$20500|sort:date/ica-atom-users/2kJWV0O_FPk/6BHsmu1zBAAJ

or do you have any other thoughts?

Thank you

Hi Mark,

I would start by checking out the webserver logs to get more information. The error message sounds like there could have been a resource spike of some kind however - your CPU spiking, or memory being exhausted or something. If you have any monitoring tools in place for server load, etc, I would suggest checking those out as well.

You can always try the usual tasks - restart services such as PHP-FPM and memcached; clear the application cache, restart the atom-worker, etc...

Let us know what you find.

Cheers,
