I'm using version 2.7.1 - 192.
I encountered problems with uploading digital objects. I tried both options available to me "addDigitalObject" and "multiFileUploader" and none of them seem to work (I got a time out error page), though the file is only a 33Kb PDF.
However, the original problem I was trying to fix is the following: is there a way to avoid that thumbnails of digital object attached to one single description are automatically showed at their upper level?

- Is the PDF local (on your local computer), or are you trying to use a URL to an online PDF somewhere to upload it?
- You said you got the same result from the single "Link Digital Object" option and the multi-upload "Upload Digital objects" option - is that correct?
- Were you uploading these via the user interface? Or via a CSV import, or from the command-line?
- Have you tried other file types? Is it only PDFs, or all digital objects that are not working?
- Did you ensure you installed all the required dependencies for managing digital objects, per this section of the installation docs for 2.7?
- Does your installation meet the recommended hardware requirements outlined here?
- It's always a good idea to check the webserver error logs to see if the server has more information on the cause of the error. Share any relevant message you find. See:
- Make sure that the filesystem permissions are properly configured. If you have followed our recommended installation instructions, then the www-data user should own all files and directories below the root AtoM installation directory at /usr/share/nginx/atom. Youi can set these properly with:
- sudo chown -R www-data:www-data /usr/share/nginx/atom

- If it's just PDFs, see this thread - you may be encountering a known issue with a simple workaround:
- You could try increasing some of the PHP execution limits, such as the max_execution_time and more. You will want to check the values set in the PHP pool set up during installation, and possibly in your server's php.ini file as well. Remember to restart PHP-FPM after making changes. See:

We actually discovered that there was a different problem and
manage to solve it.
Here our log on /var/log/nginx/error.log:
