Hide digital object and release metadata only

Dear ATOM Community

I have a collection where we have not secured copyright clearance yet. So the idea is to showcase what we have (by descriptions only) while hiding the digital object or full-text object from public view.

Please provide guidance if this is a possibility in ATOM.

Hi Bravismore, 

The PREMIS rights module supports exactly this workflow. Please read the documentation carefully as it takes a bit of configuration to set everything up, but you can choose to hide the thumbnail, reference, master, or any combination of the three. You can also provide a custom access message that will be shown instead of the digital object on the record, to indicate to users that there is a digital object available, but access is restricted.
