When I try to update or delete a Archival institutions this error occurs '
500 Internal Server Error '.
I need help to resolve this issues please.

My professor was able to do something on the backend to fix the error. He said the server was stuck processing a large import.

I would suggest taking a look at the suggestion on the Troubleshooting page in our documentation:
Generally, the first thing we recommend when encountering a 500 error is to check the webserver error logs for more information. See:
Feel free to share any information you find there if you are not sure what it means.
There are a number of additional suggestions in the following thread that I recommend you try:
Let us know what you find and how it goes - if you're still stuck, provide further information about your installation environment and we can go from there.
