Identifier display error with #

When storing someting like RTF001_#_1/67_#  in "Archival Description - Identifier" it displays something like RTF001_#1_1/67_#

It is formatting this way in "render_value" or "render_value_inline"

Hi Johan,

You have run into an issue with markdown syntax. When I tested RTF001_#_1/67_# in the Identifier field, it displayed as RTF001_#1/67#.

As a short term solution you can turn off markdown at Admin > Settings > Markdown. If you do that, don't forget to rebuild your search engine once you have saved the change:

 $ php symfony search:populate

In the longer term, we have filed a bug ticket to remove markdown formatting from identifier fields. You can follow that here: https://projects.artefactual.com/issues/13173
