Announcement: Solr pull request closed ahead of BS2 upgrade

Further to our announcements about deprecating BS2 and closing all pull requests after September 1, we have closed a large work-in-progress pull request to implement Solr as the search engine for AtoM.

We have always wanted AtoM support for other search engines and to move away from the tight integration with ElasticSearch in our code, so we are highlighting it as closed but available if anyone in the community wants to continue with this work. 

If anyone is interested in this, please feel free to reopen the pull request and continue it. There is still a fair amount of work left to complete, but it includes lists of work completed and to-do.
