2. downloaded icaatom1.1 => decompressed with 7zip (windows)
3. copied content to www directory in wamp (subdir icaatom)
4. security on directory everyone => full acces
5. run installation 127.0.0.1/icaatom
6. system check 100%
7 created database qubit utf8 utf8-unicode-ci
8 run installition database http://127.0.0.1/icaatom/index.php/;sfInstallPlugin/configureDatabase

(already tried to create new database user)

This is a known bug that we have already fixed in our development tree (issue 1908), only affects Windows users.

I recommend you to follow these instructions:

1) Remove C:\wamp\www\icaatom dir

2) Decompress and copy it again

3) Open plugins/sfInstallPlugin/lib/sfInstall.class.php with a text editor like Notepad++, go to line 589 and modify it like this (notice the '@'):

@symlink($path, $name);

4) Run the installer again.

I believe that this happened because you tried to restart the installer using the same ICA-AtoM directory. I'd recommend you to remove it, then decompress again, apply the fix that I told you and start the installer. Alternatively, try to remove .htaccess and config/config.php files.

Tom, Bart and I did a little troubleshooting and it turns out the problem was caused by an incompatibility between the installer and MySQL 5.5. This was caused by the use of the deprecated 'Type=InnoDB' syntax, which was removed in 5.5. This should now be 'Engine=InnoDB'. Tom will try to install on their servers later this week and hopefully report a successful installation and migration.

There was allready a bug for this http://code.google.com/p/qubit-toolkit/issues/detail?id=1985

I'm also experiencing this problem trying to install icaatom using WAMP.
I did the procedure indicated by Jesús García and it still fails.

Someone managed to succeed in installing the ICA with the WAMP or XAMPP?

I could not with any of the two.

I got success to icaatom install wamp on my laptop in, but a while since I installed itand probably should have gone through an update to the source.

Anyway, now I'm not succeeding and need to urgently install Icaatom for continuing withmy work.

It followed the advice he has given to other users, but have not been successful. Every time I set up the database it returns me a blank page.

Sorry again my English, I am Brazilian and I speak little of the language and from what I saw, there are few Brazilian colleagues in this thread.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen

Yesterday icaatom tried to install on my notebook. Download the zipped file on the siteand performed the installation as usual system.

Today once again trying to install here in work computer, I still do not succeed in installing. I honestly can not understand what is happening.

The WAMP is the same version, the ICA-Atom is also the same version and can not in any way to successfully install the system.

Would anyone have a light?

Hi Rafael,

I think the problem is due to a newer version of MySQL (5.5 or later) which doesn't recognize the "Type=InnoDB" option, and uses "Engine=InnoDB" instead. See http://code.google.com/p/qubit-toolkit/issues/detail?id=1985

Please try the following:

1) Download the patch file http://www.ica-atom.org/download/issue1985.patch to your ICA-AtoM install directory

2) Follow our instructions for installing patches in Windows

3) Clear your ICA-AtoM cache (http://www.qubit-toolkit.org/wiki/index.php?title=Clear_cache)

4) Reload the installer page in your browser

I'm also experiencing this problem trying to install icaatom using WAMP.
I did the procedure indicated by Jesús García and it still fails.

Someone managed to succeed in installing the ICA with the WAMP or XAMPP?

I could not with any of the two.

   Estimados Colegas, Rafael e Carolina,

   Aqui no Curso de Arquivologia da UFSM também enfrentamos o mesmo problema descrito com a instalação Windows, inclusive com as recomendações do Jesus. Acabamos optando pela instalação sempre em GNU Linux - Ubuntu ou Xubuntu. Aceitamos Feedbacks.

   Como necessitamos múltiplas instalações do ICA-Atom para as aulas do Curso na graduação e na pós, também utilizamos a solução de baixar as imagens do Archivematica (Release 0.7 em breve 0.71), tanto nas versões "Live USB" ou "Live DVD", já que o ICA-Atom já está instalado e assim os alunos podem testar e instalar posteriormente, tem-se mostrado uma solução muito prática para a docência em laboratório (Depois só trocar o usuário "demo" e instalar o Xubuntu).

Infelizmente, Archivematica não inclui a versão mais recente do ICA-AtoM.

Em Windows, se WAMP não funciona, eu gosto de usar o VirtualBox para criar uma máquina virtual, onde você podi instalar Linux (Ubuntu) e ICA-AtoM.
