Hello.
Many stored descriptions contain the character "," (comma) inside the text, which results in a messy csv (with "," as a delimiter). How can I configure the option to export csv with different delimiter character?
Thanks

Hi Roberto,

It is not possible without development to change AtoM's use of the comma as the text delimiter in a CSV - after all, CSV stands for comma separated values ;)

If you have commas in your descriptive content, this should not affect the CSV output from being well-formed.

Hello Dan,
Thanks
Well... I do not agree with this statement (about csv), but the important thing is that the exported file do affects the CSV output indeed, since I tried to "re-import" it and AtoM rejected the file with errors!

So, I would try use XML but my installation does not provide XML export (I dont know why).
I´ve posted this issue too.

Thanks

Hi Roberto,

Is the AtoM site from which you are exporting publicly available? I would be happy to test running an export, and importing it locally to see if I can recreate the issues you are experiencing? Alternatively, feel free to send me a sample CSV and I will take a look, if you like.

Hello,

Thanks!

I just answered you in another post

"Re: [atom-users] Atom XML Export not available"

In short, I believe the problem with csv was in the UFT-8 (or WideLatin encoding).
Thanks again!
