php-apcu-bc was installed as per the installation guide, but I'm still getting this error.

Is the extension properly enabled?

There is a PHP function that you can add to index.php in order to verify.

Hi again,

I'm sorry that this is taking so long but have you confirmed that the compatibility extension is enabled? I know you've installed it but maybe something went wrong? Not sure if you can see that in phpinfo(). If the extension is enabled in CLI you should see "APC Compatibility" when you run "php -m". More here: https://serverpilot.io/community/articles/how-to-install-the-php-apcu-bc-extension.html.

The snippet that is throwing that error you reported is the following: https://github.com/artefactual/atom/blob/qa/2.4.x/vendor/symfony/lib/cache/sfAPCCache.class.php#L34-L37. That IF evaluates to TRUE if APCu is enabled and APCu-bc isn't. Basically, if the function `apc_store` is not defined in your PHP runtime then the compatibility layer is not enabled.

Good luck!
