When I try to view reports File list or Item list I always get a 500 Internal Server Error.
Physical storage locations work fine.

In File or Item, list, I get past the Sort by page, but when I hit Continue, regardless of the options chosen, I get the Error page.

This happens in both English and my local language (pt).

Using Atom 1.3

Thanks for your quick reply.

In Apache error log, I can read:

Dear Fabio,

Are you still having trouble or were you able to solve the problem.

Fabio, probably it is a bilge, but you have in Manage> Taxonomies> Levels of description the option Item?.
In ICA-AToM the reports believe themselves for Item and for File, If you eliminated someone of these two will give the mistake that you indicate.

Thanks, Clara. That's precisely what happened. I excluded every entry
in Taxonomy > Levels of description and substituted them for the terms
hierarchy according to Brazilian ISAD-based national standard
(Nobrade) - fonds, section, series, subseries, process, documental
item. Is there any way I can restore the original behavior?

Thank you Jessica ;-)
Fabío, you can enter in English Taxonomy> Levels of description and create again "Item". Then you enter Portuguese and introduce the term that corresponds.

I did something of the like. I went to my entry "Item documental",
changed the language to English, and edited its name to "Item". I do
not receive a 500 error anymore, but an error message saying "Item
list / No results / Oops, we couldn't find any item level
descriptions." ins English as well as in Portuguese.

Then I changed "Item" to any other string and created another term
"Item" in the first level of the hierarchy. I get the same message.

Attempts to generate File lists keep throwing a 500 internal server error.

Thanks for taking the time to send us all the details!

However, I don't think we have much time to fix it. It's low priority. We accept contributions though!

Fabio, has you related the different levels of description?
In his case I would create an archival description for each of the levels "fonds", "section", "series", "subseries", "process" and " documentary item", creating (in Taxonomies) in English "item" and translating it in Portuguese into " documentary item " and creating in English "flie" and translating it in Portuguese to "process".
If you create an archival description for example to level of "fond" and then  creates a level to level "section", "series"... and is descending successively, it would not have any problem at the moment of generating reports.
Expect I have explained well. Sorry, but I'm using a automatic translate... :)

I would like to apologize to all for a little mistake and thank Clara
again, everything is working pretty fine now. Indeed, I was trying to
fetch an item list from a fonds whose description was only complete to
the file level, so that's why I got an empty list.

So, I had not to recreate anything, I just edited the English versions
of my own terminology so they would include an "Item" and a "File".

On the other hand, I guess it's kind of a design issue. Looks like
it's not very wise to bind coding to strings, especially editable
ones, and especially in a software that aims to be widely
internationalized. Take it as a suggestion, however low-priority it
may be.

Best regards,
Fábio

Hi.
Until the bug is solved, I would suggest to make a note on documentation about this. I had a lot of problems because of this.
Than you

Hi José,

I'm sorry to hear that this behavior caused you so much trouble! I can definitely add a note in our documentation about this. Where in the docs do you think it would be most helpful to place this note? In the reports section?

...or somewhere else?

Cheers,

Hi Dan Gillean,
Yes, maybe there or here:
https://www.accesstomemory.org/en/docs/2.1/user-manual/add-edit-content/terms/#terms

But, I think the best place would be not on the documentation but on the the Atom website on the page .../index.php/levels-of-description
where it says: Levels of description term
It could be: Levels of description term (DO NOT CHANGE ORIGINAL NAMES)
Or something like that... maybe on next release :)

Thank you
José Anjos
