According to the ISDF (english version), page 7, item 1.3, “Functions are therefore well suited to act as: a basis for the arrangement, classification and description of records”. So I thought their usage as a classification scheme would be intended.
Since this
is not the case, I’m trying to adapt.
The solution I’m exploring is using the access point “places” taxonomy, and incorporating there the functional classification scheme.
In using this solution some questions/difficulties arise, for which I ask your help:
1. 1- Changing the taxonomy name visible to the users – I go to Admin/menus and change the taxonomy name to “classification”. Nevertheless, the taxonomy browse page, the taxonomy list page and some titles that the software creates automatically still use “places”. How do I change these elements/names?
2- In the “places” taxonomy, when we enter in a place, a google map is displayed. I need to take out the map. How can I do it?

As a last attempt to solve the name change can you please ask a developer if this is possible: since I'm working in portuguese language, isn't it possible to change the text string that corresponds to the "Places" translation to portuguese? If so where do I do it (in which file(s))?I assume that the code is all in english, and the software only gets a string to display in different languages, so changing the portuguese translation itself shouldn't be a problem...It's just an idea.
If it isn't too much of a trouble I would apreciate if you send me some instructions to disable the maps.
