Hi folks,

I've done a browse of the documentation and a (rough) search of the conversations here, but didn't hit a on a clear answer:

It it possible to do a search and/or filter results to only see draft records when you are logged in as an editor/admin?

Based on my searching the answer appears to be no - is that correct?

Thanks!
Danielle

Hi Danielle,

There is a trick you can do, yes! It is not supported via UI elements (like the advanced search panel fields), but knowing the actual field names in Elasticsearch can allow you to do more, including filter results to just show drafts. See:
You might also like this slide deck - the latter half summarizes many of these field-based searches found in the above section of the docs:
One note however - those slides mention _missing_ and _exists_ as field prefixes you can use. Please note that _missing_ no longer works in 2.7 or later - instead, you can basically replicate it by adding the exclamation mark (the boolean operator for NOT) before _exists_, like so:
  • !_exists_:fieldname
